Children in Trinity County have the unique opportunity to spend the month of July learning about nature, food, farming, recycling and cultural history in and around Weaverville. Plenty of active games – including a weekly trip to the pool - and healthy snacks round out each week's session in a fun and engaging camp environment. Your child will make new friends and look forward to each carefully planned day.

Thumbs UP!

Campers can sign up for one, two, three, or all four weeks based on their plans for the summer. Children entering 1st through 6th grades are welcome. Weekly sessions are held Monday – Friday from 9:00 am – 1:30 pm.

Campers entering 4th – 6th grades benefit from field trips to the natural wonders in Trinity County. Recent field trips included Natural Bridge near Hayfork, Lowden Field and Hamilton Ponds, and hiking along Lewiston Lake.

In 2005 the Trinity County RCD began the popular Weaverville Sumer Day Camp, which is held at the Young Family Ranch on Oregon St. Every year we hire local high school students as counselors, giving many the opportunity to work at a "real" job for the first time.
